Reine Lilianna Lemley

So last december Michael and I were blessed with the honor of becoming GodParents to a wonderful little girl Reine Lilianna Lemley. She is such a beautiful little girl. We feel very blessed to have the honor of being her godparents. To alot of people it is just a name, but it is such a big responsiblity, not something to be taken lightly. We hope we are up for this wonderful challenge.

RIP Tom Prather

Some of you have met Tom and some of you havn't. For those who knew him you knew him to be a wonderful man, a honest, trustworthy and forgiving man. This man helped raise me from the time I was 4. I consider myself very lucky to have had two wonderful dad's. Tom loved my sister and I like we were his children. He loved my children and her children. My children loved Tom and looked foward to seeing him. He was papa Tom.

Unfourtanitly He was taken from us too early. He battled cancer for many years and did well until it won in the end. He was brave every step of the way. He out lived what dr's said he would. I know i am very proud of him and he will remain in my heart forever. Here is a poem that he was layed to rest with.

God Saw you

God saw you were getting tired

And your cure was not meant to be.

So he put his arms around you

And whispered " Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you

and saw you pass away,

and though we love you dearly,

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

hard working hands were put to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.

How perfect is this for Tom? We will always love him.

kids

Hey all,

well today we went down to add Mikey in Soceer and found a waiting list in its place lol. So he decided he wanted to play flag football ugh. Boy does that make me nervouse but it was either flag football or hockey, and for many reasons I am galde he decided football. We also signed him up for a day camp for a transportation muesum. He should have lots of fun.

I can't wait for lexi to be able to play sports and be involved.

mindy

Hi everyone,

well has for me I have adjusted to being in North Carolina, the summers are a little too hot but we get over it. We started off living next to family in Fayetteville but now live on Fort Bragg in recently remodeled houses. It is a bit small but we get by. We are alot closer to everything but we do miss having our big house and living near our family out here.

I have started going back to school, and thought i was going back for nursing but i think i might go back for my teaching degree instead. From the time I was a little girl i wanted to be a teacher i strayed from that but i think i might go back to that. I havn't made up my mind yet but im leaning that way.
Other than than not much going on looking foward to both m y kids being in school even if one is part time:)

alexia

What to say about Alexia, She is every bit has smart has her brother, she is beautiful, fiesty and stubborn haha. She is 3 years old, and getting ready to start preschool in the fall. She will go to the same preschool Mikey did she even has the same classroom and hopefully the same teachers, they already know her and she liked being there. This summer we went to the beach which she was terrified of but now i can get her in and she loves it, especially if the waves are high. She scares me. She is doing better in the pool not so afraid, especially if she is on the steps. She knows all of her abc's she can count to 40 if she wants to and can reconize numbers 1-15 and put them in order. She knows her shapes and colors and has been practicing writing her shapes. She can't wait to go to school, and has even been trying to read lol. Although her potty training isn't going very well. She gets the concept but is lazy. Hopefully soon she will get over it and do it all the time. She can't wait to play sports like her big brother and also loves gymnastics which is all she can do at the moment but she wants to do cheerleading dance sports she loves to be very active too. She can skate pretty well too.

michael

Well Mikey is now going to be 6 in August. He has grown so fast. He is a very handsome young man, very smart and sweet. In August he will also be starting 1st grade. Wow how fast the time passes. This summer has flown by. Mikey went to California to visit family and had a wonderful time. Unfourtunatly he didn't get to see everyone because he got home sick and was ready to come home. So to those who did not get to see him I am sorry. He will be back out there next summer, but between this summer visit and the two weddings he was in he has seen most of the families. When he came home he did bowling camp. Which he loved. We are even thinking of putting him on the bowling team they have here on post. He also is joining boy scouts and wants to play soceer in fall and then t ball. He loves sports and can't wait to play football and hockey, which terrifys me. He also wants a dirt bike, and when i asked him where he was going to ride this dirt bike he promtly looked at me like i was crazy and said "in the dirt mom" haha i odn't know about him sometimes. He has adjusted to life on post nicely and even has a friend next door to play with. He will be going to school on post for first grade. Well that is it for Mikey, for now......

welcome

Hi family and friends
Well I decided that we needed somewhere everyone can go and get the up to date information about our family here in North Carolina and over in Iraq. Just a warning I have never done any blogging and am still figuring out things so I apologize if it is a bit of a mess at first. So welcome family and friends to our new page.
